INTERACTIVE WORKSHOPS
FOUNDED BY RABBI STEVEN CARR REUBEN, HOME SHALOM PROMOTES HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS AND FACILITATES THE CREATION OF JUDGEMENT FREE, SAFE SPACES IN THE JEWISH COMMUNITY.
Using a series of arts-driven exercises, participants of our workshops get to experience positive expression techniques that influence and enhance their communications and feelings of self-worth.
Our workshops are designed to meet your needs, the topics that we cover include consent, inner and outer voices, “I” statement perspective, speaking your truth and more.
The Advot Project and Home Shalom facilitators provide these programs virtually, live or a hybrid of both. We work in partnership with schools, synagogues, youth groups, community centers, as well as in collaboration with other nonprofit organizations.
With each group of participants, we continue to see theater become a rehearsal for life, a stage to experiment, explore, and find ways for participants to find their voice and learn how to use it.
Home Shalom is part of the L.A. Jewish Teen Initiative’s Focus on Teen Wellness, co-funded by the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles and the Jim Joseph Foundation with seed funding provided by the Jewish Community Foundation of Los Angeles.
This program is made possible in part by funds granted by The Covenant Foundation. The statements made and views expressed, however, are solely the responsibility of the authors.
