THE ADVOT PROJECT
The Advot Project was founded on the premise that relationships are key to success and communication is vital for relationships to thrive. We believe that it is crucial for young people to see, experience, and practice communication skills in order to navigate their interactions with peers, family, and community through adolescence into adulthood. We serve youth ages 11 to 25 in a range of programs from juvenile facilities to public schools and through an arts-based curriculum, we teach them how to cultivate relationships that will support them to be safe, successful, and fulfilled.
Our work is based on these Five Streams of Communication

I listen to what is being said, without judgement…
“Listening to the the thoughts as they think a way something different. I can’t tell if they are wrong or right. Sounding like wake up calls from the brightest of day
Why do you speak up? Look what you’ve done! Everything is yours to blame. All the thoughts light up like a flame. It can be really hard to tame.”

I own all parts of my story…
“The little girl who lives inside wants to know answers that I don't have. Like why she do this, Or why does she have these thoughts about her past stuck in her head? She can't go one day without thinking about it. Or thinking about the looks on his face - The words that came out of his mouth . The feelings he opened up in her, and the lies he shared with her. As she sits ashamed, with tears down her face - The little girl would feel better if she could come out . Because she has a lot to say!”

MISSION and VISION
The Advot Project creates possibility by using art-based curriculums to teach communication and relationship skills. Empowering participants to find their voice and use it.
Through our work, we will empower a generation of youth who knows their voices matter and that they are worthy to create equality and equity, that will change the systems that affect them.
DIVERSITY and INCLUSION
Advot seeks to create a culture and adopt business practices grounded in diversity, equity, justice, and inclusivity.
Celebrating each person’s unique visible and invisible qualities including race, gender (identity), age, sexuality, ability, religion, national origin, among others, is the Advot’s source of strength.
